Glenmorangie The Vindima 16 Years 43%vol. 1 Liter

Glenmorangie is a whiskey distillery in Tain in the Northern Highlands of Scotland and probably one of the most famous whiskey distilleries. The malt used in the production is unpeated so that no smoke aromas detract from the mild fruity character of the Glenmorangie whiskey. The distillery uses Mainly American oak barrels. First, the raw spirit is filled in (mostly first fill) bourbon barrels for 10 years. Then the whiskey is decanted into bourbon barrels, sherry barrels, port pipes or Sauternes barrels for the finish. Glenmorangie achieves a great variability in the whiskey range.

Inspired by the grape harvest in Portugal, Vindima is the festival in Madeira that lasts almost two and a half months. From the fiery glow of summer to the warm embrace of fall, the harvest festival in Madeira unites the entire population to carefully pick the ripe grapes by hand from the vines. Once the work is done, a collective euphoria breaks out in the streets, filled with singing, dancing and a joyful sense of celebration. It comes from a barrel from Maderia, more precisely from a Malvasia Malmsey grape variety. 

 The elegance of Glenmorangie is complemented by a rich sweetness, with notes of sticky fruit trees and dark fruits, including raisins and a hint of spice.
