The family business NETASA (Norte Extremeña de Transformados Agrícolas S.A.) was founded in 1975. The smoked paprika powder is a product obtained by grinding ripe red peppers and drying them in a traditional process using oak or holm oak wood. It is grown and produced in the region of La Vera, in the province of Cáceres in northern Spain. This bell pepper is protected by the "Pimentón de la Vera" Guarantee of Origin, which certifies its origin and quality. "Pimentón de la Vera" is a product that has a smoky flavor and aroma due to the drying process.
