The history of Amaro Averna began in Caltanissetta, in the interior of Sicily. The Benedictine monk Fra 'Girolamo gave his friend, Salvatore Averna, the secret recipe for a special herbal liqueur, his "Amaro". To date, the fourth generation adheres to the traditional and strictly kept formulation. Only so much: with love, among other things, typical Sicilian herbs, rosemary and thyme, roots, barks, berries and citrus bowls are processed - with guarantee on consistent waiver of dyes and addition of aromas.
This "Amaro Averna" has an intense fragrance for Mediterranean herbs and citrus fruits. He has a perfect vote of sweet and bitter.
