Martell is a cognac house and was founded by Jean Martell. The Cognac wine region is located in the Charente region of France near the Atlantic coast. Martell used grapes from the vineyards of the Borderie sub-region and Tronçais oak for his barrels. This resulted in a combination that produced an exceptionally smooth cognac. Each Martell Cognac has it's own unique story to tell, from the timeless classic to limited editions.

Martell Cohiba is a unique cognac that goes particularly well with cigars. It is made from a unique combination of the finest aged “eaux-de-vie” from the famous “Grande Champagne” vineyards and has been allowed to mature for 40-50 years in barrels made from matured wood. The intensity and complexity of this cognac harmonizes perfectly with the taste of the popular Cohiba cigars. Sweet and mild notes of almond, hazelnut, honey, vanilla and light facets of wood rise to the nose. On the palate, it is fresh, smooth and very well balanced. The finish is long-lasting.
