Hennessy is a cognac distillery located in Cognac (France). The process of making Cognac is lengthy and refined. The locally grown Ugni White grapes go through six important steps from the moment they are carefully picked from their vines to that first sip as an exceptional Cognac in your glass. A double distillation is required to produce cognac eau-de-vie. Approximately 12 kg of grapes are needed to obtain 1 liter of eau de vie. Eaux-de-vie and wood age together for years, exchanging flavors and colors. Each eau de vie requires years of work as well as rotation between different barrels to reach its full complexity.

With this Limited Edition Keation, the house Hennessy pays tribute to one of the historical figureheads of the family, James Hennessy, who conquered new territories and strove to spread the success of Hennessy far beyond the borders of Cognac. In the new blend that bears his name, the master blender of the Maison has conceived an elegant, modern and new Cognac that slowly brings out its notes.

On the nose rises a combination of mild tobacco and light wisps of smoke with subliminal toasted aromas. A touch of toasted almonds merges with vanilla from Madagascar, creating soft and delicately scented tones. Through the nose, a taste of elegance and restraint reaches the palate, enhanced by fresh flavors of apricot, pistachio and blood peach.
