Every drop that flows into a bottle of Courvoisier is a collective effort. The close knit community of artisans in Jarnac, France plays an essential role in making it the most award-winning cognac house. Courvoisier pays great attention to the quality that is delivered at every stage of the manufacturing process. Cognac can only be made from Colombard, Folle Blanche or Ugni Blanc grapes. However, Courvoisier mainly works with the top four: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois. All cognacs from the house must be at least two and a half years old and become more and more complex and supple with age.

Courvoisier VSOP is matured in the finest French oak barrels, which give the cognac its characteristic structure and depth. As a “Very Superior Old Pale”, it is made from a careful selection of eaux-de-vie that have been matured for up to 10 years.

Subtle notes of ripe apricot, toasted hazelnut and a hint of vanilla create a warm, complex aromatic palette. Velvety-soft with hints of honey, dried fruit and a pleasant spiciness. The harmonious balance makes it versatile - pure or as a base for cocktails. The finish is long-lasting with a subtle hint of wood and caramelized fruit. Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
