A longer maturing process than the four years planned for a VSOP, combined with a third maturing period in 350 and 400 liter barrels, shows the daring of the Gabrielsen house. Red casks are not known for bringing tannins to the cognac. However, they allow precise micro-oxidation resulting in a smoother cognac that has gained in smoothness and roundness. With this cognac, Bache-Gabrielsen underscores the uniqueness of its brand and offers the palate some variety.
Fruity and floral scents fill the air. A gentle touch of wood joins in. This Bache Gabrielsen VSOP Cognac has a slightly floral taste that is also enveloped by a hint of woody aromas. The flavors of this cognac are perfectly balanced.
