Chinchaleros are a hit! The cigars are rolled entirely by hand in Nicaragua. They offer a first-class price/quality ratio, because as handmade cigars they are made with perfect wrapper leaves. The red ring symbolizes the slightly different taste of the “Reserva de Oro” series compared to the small formats, which have a light blue ring. The Reserva de Oro cigars are fuller-bodied and a touch spicier, but still round and creamy.

Chinchalero mastermind John Atherton is delighting aficionados worldwide with a new series. The “Chinchalero Mezcla 40” is now available in three formats: “Canones” (Short Gordo), “Pequenos” (Short Rothschild) and “Robusto”.
All formats are wrapped in a silky, milk coffee-colored Connecticut wrapper from Ecuador. A Criollo 98 from Nicaragua forms the binder and the filler tobaccos all come from Jalapa and Estelí. On the first puff, you can taste an intense sweetness that is slightly reminiscent of popcorn, accompanied by a slight chilli spiciness. As the cigar progresses, the aroma becomes significantly spicier, slightly peppery, but without the wonderfully buttery sweetness being lost
