Alejandro Lopez cigars represent traditional history and offer cigar lovers a diverse selection. The brand was founded by Alejandro Lopez, who was born in Asturias, Spain, in 1866. At the age of 20, he moved to Panama and became involved in tobacco cultivation. In 1910, he moved to the Dominican Republic and founded his own cigar factory near Santiago Los Caballeros in the 1920s. He ran the business until his death in 1948.
Today, the Alejandro Lopez product range consists of three main collections:
Alejandro Lopez Dominican Republic: this collection consists of mild cigars made entirely from Dominican tobacco. They have a light-colored Connecticut wrapper from the United States, which results in a creamy, velvety mouthfeel.
Alejandro Lopez Nicaragua: This series offers a more powerful smoking experience. As true professionals, they are made entirely from Nicaraguan tobacco. They are hand-rolled long fillers and have a dark brown sungrown wrapper.
Alejandro López Maduro: The Maduro series combines a Mexican Maduro wrapper with filler and binder from the Dominican Republic.
