GlenAllachie Distillery is a privately owned Speyside distillery founded in 1967 and located near Aberlour. Glenallachie 12 Years Old is the centerpiece of the new Glenallachie range. It was matured in former sherry casks (Pedro Ximenénz and Oloroso) and new, unlined oak casks. Glenallachie was revived under the direction of Billy Walker, former distiller of the famous distillery.
Notes of butterscotch and honey are prominent, joined by aromas of raisins and mocha. This Speyside single malt tastes sweet with notes of honey, marzipan and banana.
