"St. Kilian Distillers is a German single malt whisky distillery based on the Scottish model. St. Kilian produces internationally award-winning single malt whisky in the Scottish tradition. Made in Germany and inspired by whisky cultures from all over the world.
For the smoky version "St. Kilian Peated - rich & smoky", heavily peated barley malt from the Scottish Highlands with a phenol content of 80 ppm was used. The single malt whisky is made up of 70% various ex-bourbon casks and 30% Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. The result is a single malt that has a rich intensity of grilled apricots, creamy toffee and subtle oak spice, wrapped in warming peat smoke.
