The Barton 1792 Distillery was founded in 1879 and remains the oldest fully operational distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. The distillery is located in the heart of bourbon country. On the rocks, or rather in the mountains of Guatemala at 2300 meters of altitude, the transformation process takes place that turns a fresh sugar cane syrup distillate into a brown rum with character and maturity.
The Botran Ron COBRE Spiced Rum is made on the basis of Ron Anejo. This is a high quality blend of premium rums up to 20 years old. It is carefully distilled and gets a perfect variety of flavors by adding cloves, cardamom, ginger and cinnamon. Due to the maturation in the solera system and the additional maturation in port wine barrels, this Ron Botran is a special bottling.
Spicy notes of cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, ginger and wood rise to the nose. The palate is very diverse and also full of different spices.
