Each Plantation Rum is an expression of his Caribbean country of origin. Alexandre Gabriel, owner and master burner of Maison Ferrand, works closely with local distilleries that produce the RUMs, where they have to age for the first part of their lives in warm Caribbean cellars. Alexandre has maintained permanent relationships with the best Caribbean distilleries. The name Plantation is intended to reflect the most important terroirs and rum cultures. Plantation is also the owner of the mythical West Indies Rum Distillery in Barbados and Shareholder of National Rum of Jamaica, owner of Clarendon Distillery and Long Pond Distillery.
Plantation Pineapple was first presented in 2014 at "Tales of Cocktails" in New Orleans. Alexandre Gabriel created this rum with the help of David Wondrich, a spirits and cocktail historian.
His extraordinary aroma receives the Plantation Pineapple by a special manufacturing way, in which two varieties of the line of plantation and high-quality pineapple play the main roles. High-quality fruits of the pineapple variety Queen Victoria are peeled by hand. The peel of the pineapple is placed in Plantation 3 stars White Rum, the pulp of the pineapple for three months in plantation original Dark rum. This creates a perfectly balanced sweet rum.
The bouquet is very present with the finest flavors of tropical fruits. For this purpose, slight notes of herbem smoke, fresh citrus abrasion and ripe bananas. Just as fruity as the bouquet also shows the taste. This is rounded off by a hint of cloves. A very relenter, sweet rum.
