Padre Azul is made in the Amatitan Valley in Jalisco, Mexico near the city of Tequila in the Tres Mujeres Distillery of Erika Sangadoat, one of the few female tequila burners.
All agaves made from which Padre Azul is made are grown in the amatitan valley where the soil is alkaline, less iron and more basalt contains than in the highlands. The harvest of the Agave at its highest maturity reached between 8 and 10 years is also important to obtain the desired aromas.
This is a clear, transparent tequila. After distillation, it is filled directly into the bottle. This retains his color and aroma after fresh agave. Here you take notes of cooked agave, vanilla and coconut. Citrus notes of grapefruit and lemon are also perceived. Adhesives of English mint, fruit compote of cherry, peach and pineapple also adding themselves. On the palate he is very velvety and intense.
