The Macallan is a single malt whiskey distillery in Easter Elchies, Craigellachie, Banffshire, Scotland.

The Macallan was one of the first distilleries in Scotland to be legally licensed. The production of The Macallan is based on decisive influences from Spain, North America and Scotland as well as their respective natural raw materials in combination with traditional methods and craftsmanship.

All of the whiskeys get their color 100 percent from the wood of the barrels in which they are stored. Since wood is a natural product, every tree is different and therefore gives the whiskey different flavors and colors as it matures. The assembled barrels from northern Spain are then flavored with sherry for 18 months and then shipped to Scotland, where they are bottled with the fine brandy from The Macallan.

The Macallan Harmony Collection “Green Meadow” is a whisky bottled in a 0.7-liter bottle with an alcohol content of 40.2% vol. This edition is part of the renowned Harmony Collection, which is characterized by its high-quality, environmentally conscious packaging and special flavours. Green Meadow showcases aromas and flavor profiles inspired by the Scottish countryside. 

 The taste is a harmonious blend of fresh, grassy notes reminiscent of green meadows, combined with subtle floral aromas. These notes are accompanied by gentle hints of honey and vanilla, which give the whisky a pleasant, sweet depth. The maturation in oak casks contributes to a fine spiciness and a balanced finish.
