Lagg is the second distillery of the Isle of Arran Distillers to produce whisky on the island of Arran alongside the Lochranza distillery.
The smoky single malt was matured in ex-bourbon casks and distilled twice.
Influences of peat and vanilla as well as the creamy character of American oak casks form the taste profile. This whisky is lively and fresh and lays the foundation for future products from LAGG Single Malt Whisky.
On the nose, aromas of heather, smoke and charred citrus are perceived. On the palate there is a fiery, smoky note, with initial fruity notes and a lingering finish.
