Johnnie Walker is the Diageo brand of Scottish blend whiskey and the world's best-selling Scotch whiskey. John Walker & Sons acquired the Cardhu distillery on Speyside in 1893, and the company became part of the Distillers Company (DCL) in 1925 , DCL was taken over by Guinness in 1986. Guinness merged with Grand Metropolitan in 1997 and founded Diageo in 1997. Production of Johnnie Walker was moved to Diageo's bottling plants in Leven in Fife and Shieldhall in Glasgow.

Rare and exceptional whiskeys, including ghost stocks from the Pittyvaich, Cambus and Port Ellen distilleries, all of which are at least 28 years old, have been researched to create a whiskey that reinterprets the exotic flavors of the 1820s.

A complex, rich whiskey rises into the nose in which one perceives a perfect balance of fruit aromas, balanced warming spices and a soft smoke that is reminiscent of the rich selection of exotic fruits. Dried fruits like sultanas and figs are sweetened with a hint of candied ginger before berries, brown sugar and aromatic spices are present. On the palate you can perceive a delicious layer of spices that mix with sweet honey and rich molasses. You can also perceive notes of sultanas, cocoa beans, herbal notes and light smoky notes. The finish is medium long and is accompanied by sweet spices.
