Johnnie Walker is the brand of a Scottish blend whiskey from the beverage company Diageo and the best-selling Scotch whiskey in the world. John Walker & Sons acquired the Cardhu distillery on Speyside in 1893 and the firm became part of the Distillers Company (DCL) in 1925, with DCL being acquired by Guinness in 1986. Guinness merged with Grand Metropolitan in 1997 and formed Diageo in 1997. Johnnie Walker production has been moved to Diageo's bottling plants in Leven in Fife and Shieldhall in Glasgow.

Each whiskey is aged differently depending on the particular characteristics of the wood, climate and location. The result is a very versatile blend that smells of smoke and vanilla. The palate is filled with the nuances of orange peel, raisin, vanilla and other spices.

Johnnie Walker Double Black: For whiskey lovers who prefer a more intense taste, Johnnie Walker Double Black offers a more distinctive, refined character. Its intensity and smokiness derive from the select combination of powerful malts from the west coast of Scotland, with their distinct smoky and rich character, and whiskeys aged in charred oak. Slightly smoky notes with a light fruitiness rise in the nose. On the palate one perceives aromas of dried fruit, malty grain, creamy vanilla with almonds and fruity tangerine. The finish is slightly sweet and is accompanied by a light oak note.
