Jack Daniel's is the brand name of a Tennessee whiskey from the small town of Lynchburg, Tennessee, USA. Jack Daniel's Distillery was officially founded in 1866. A few years later, the distillery moved to its current location to be closer to Jack Daniel's main resource: Spring Hollow's mineral-rich cave. Attention to detail in the making of whiskey begins with making your own charcoal to filter. It has the perfect blend of corn, rye and barley. Most importantly, this filtering process allows the whiskey to soak for about twelve days drop by drop through an approximately three meter thick layer of charcoal, which is produced on the premises of the distillery from sugar maple. This gives the whiskey its unforgettable and unique taste.

Gentleman Jack is the only whiskey in the world that is filtered twice through charcoal, once before it is stored in the barrel and once after it has matured. The result is a whiskey with a full-bodied aroma and a uniquely mild taste.

A mix of caramel, vanilla and dark, ripe apples are very present in taste. Traces of oak and honey also resonate. Gentle and balanced with sweet tropical notes rise into the nose. On the finish it has a brief sweetness, followed by a refreshing, long finish with a touch of dry apple peel.
