Jack Daniel's is the brand name of a Tennessee whiskey from the small town of Lynchburg, Tennessee, USA. Jack Daniel's Distillery was officially founded in 1866. A few years later, the distillery moved to its current location to be closer to Jack Daniel's main resource: Spring Hollow's mineral-rich cave. Attention to detail in the making of whiskey begins with making your own charcoal to filter. It has the perfect blend of corn, rye and barley. Most importantly, this filtering process allows the whiskey to soak for about twelve days drop by drop through an approximately three meter thick layer of charcoal, which is produced on the premises of the distillery from sugar maple. This gives the whiskey its unforgettable and unique taste.
Jack Daniel's Bottled in Bond is a rich, bold whiskey that honors the 1890s - the era when Mr. Jack began bottling his whiskey (1895) and the U.S. Government passed the Bottled in Bond Act (1897). This award was only given to whiskeys that had matured for at least 4 years in bonded warehouses monitored by the government, came from a single distillery and a single vintage and were bottled at 50% alcohol by volume.
This whiskey has a balanced aroma of caramel, vanilla and toasted oak. It is full-bodied and has a long finish.
