Glenmorangie Milsean 46% vol. 0.7 liters

Glenmorangie is a whiskey distillery in Tain in the Northern Highlands of Scotland and probably one of the most famous whiskey distilleries. The malt used in the production is unpeated so that no smoke aromas detract from the mild fruity character of the Glenmorangie whiskey. The distillery uses Mainly American oak barrels. First, the raw spirit is filled in (mostly first fill) bourbon barrels for 10 years. Then the whiskey is decanted into bourbon barrels, sherry barrels, port pipes or Sauternes barrels for the finish. Glenmorangie achieves a great variability in the whiskey range.

This single malt is not cold filtered. After maturing in former bourbon barrels, this whiskey was again stored in extra heavily burned barrels, in which Portuguese red wine had previously matured. This additional storage gives the "Glenmorangie Milsean" its fine sweetness, its spicy character and its perfectly balanced taste.

Sweet notes, a subtle, light spice and aromas of ripe fruits rise into the nose. On the palate you can feel a distinct spiciness, which is accompanied by a fruity sweetness of oranges, cherries and a hint of peach. The finish is medium-long and is accompanied by notes of ginger and mild tobacco aromas.
