Glen Garioch, the most easterly and one of the oldest working distilleries in Scotland, has been producing this fine malt whiskey since 1797 in the picturesque and historic town of Oldmeldrum near Aberdeen in north-east Scotland.
Hidden from prying eyes, Glen Garioch is made deep in the fertile 'Aberdeenshire granary', and always in small, valuable batches. Thus, Glen Garioch is a true rarity, valued by those who enjoy a hearty Highland malt - naturally non-chill filtered - with a delicious malt note, honey sweetness and an elegant, creamy texture.
Notes of ripe bananas, green apples and warm crème brûlée are noticeable on the nose and on the palate. Slightly woody notes are also perceived.
