Rum Diplomatico is made in Venezuela by an independent and highly interesting distiller, the most talented in the country, Licoreras Unidas. This distillery is over 100 years old.
The Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva is an excellent blend made from rums that are up to twelve years old. The popular rum is made from 80 percent pot still distillates and 20 percent column stills aged in oak bourbon casks.
Aromas of cloves, raisins, cocoa, cinnamon and a hint of fruit cake are very concise. These flavors are continued in the taste. There Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva trumps with velvety hints of caramel and chocolate mousse. A very extensive and full-bodied rum, which leads to a finish infused with orange and chocolate.
