In the small country between the Pacific and the Caribbean, in Costa Rica, there are ideal climatic conditions for the cultivation of sugar cane, which serves as the basis for the well-known Ron Centenario with its inimitable mild vanilla and cherry aroma and its gentle and balanced taste.
This is still harvested by hand and mechanically pressed in the distillery founded in 1985. This Ron Centenario is a 30 year old Solera Rum. The Ron Centenario is the result of a long tradition in rum aging. The oldest barrels of the Latin American rum distillery were opened for this bottling and the result was a mixture of 8 to 30-year-old soft and heavy premium rums, which were married in the so-called Solera process. The rums combine elegance, essence of oak and a soft vanilla aroma reminiscent of brandy.
The rum has a really great bouquet as a result of the strict selection of the casks in the solera method. A soft, harmonious scent fills the air. Aromas of oak and green fruits with vanilla aromas are perceived. This rum is very multifaceted and perfectly balanced aromatically.
