Bowmore is a whiskey distillery on the island of Islay in Scotland. The distillery is owned by the Japanese-American Beam Suntory group. Most of the whiskys at the distillery are stored in Spanish sherry casks, which gives them their own unique taste.

Bowmore 19-year-old Pinot Noir Cask is a wonderfully smouldering and expressive Bowmore single malt whisky, matured in ex-bourbon American oak casks and elegantly finished in French oak Pinot Noir barriques.

This Bowmore from the Appellation Collection has a harmonious interplay of ripe fruit, malty notes and a hint of sea salt. There are also nuances of dark chocolate and a gentle smoky note, which is typical of Islay whiskies. On the palate, the Bowmore 19 year old impresses with a velvety texture and a multi-layered palette of flavors. Ripe apples, sweet honey and light citrus notes combine with a subtle peat smoke and a fine oak spice. The finish is long-lasting, elegant and characterized by a pleasant balance of sweet and smoky tones.
