“In 1900, in a very rural area in Siberia, Russia, a small distillery called ‘Mariinsky’ was founded. This is where “Beluga Vodka” has its origins. “The difference is in the details. The new version now comes from Montenegro and no longer from Russia. The European Union has banned the Beluga Initiative in Russia from importing into the European Union. The vodka is now produced in Latvia and refined in Montenegro. This does not circumvent the import ban, as it is completely new and has different owners. However, the formerly Russian alcohol can now be bought with a clear conscience. It is produced organically in the Latvian Kalsnava distillery.
