The Scotch has also spent its 18 years maturing in American oak casks. The distillery then refined it with a finish in Pedro XimƩnez Sherry Butt.Sweet notes of raisins rise to the nose. It also smells of berries and spicy oak. The 18-year-old Balvenie is full-bodied and fruity on the palate. It tastes of grapes and figs. Tangerines and a lovely honey sweetness can also be perceived here. At the end, there is a hint of oak, which fades into the medium-length finish. The Scotch finishes with dried fruit. It also leaves behind citrus fruits, spices and dark chocolate.
