The "Austrian Empire Navy Reserve" rum comes from Barbados. The Caribbean, especially Barbados, is known for growing high-quality sugar cane. It is manufactured by the Albert Michler company, which supplied the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1863.

The fascinating Austrian Imperial Navy Solera Solera 18 year old rum is stored, refined and manufactured using the Solera process. This means that it is a blend of several distillates, only a small portion of which has been aged for 18 years. The rest is younger and gives the blended rum a certain liveliness and strength.

This is a limited bottling.

‎Notes of fresh wood, sweetness and a hint of spice rise into the nose. This is one of the few rums that does not rely on a clear fruitiness. The Austrian Imperial Navy Solera Rum 18 years scores on the palate with a slightly bitter aftertaste, followed by a pleasant fruitiness. Vanilla and chocolate are complemented by dried fruit, caramel and oak flavors. The finish of the rum is round and constant.
