Glen Grant is the oldest whiskey distillery in Rothes, Moray, Scotland, UK. Brothers John and James Grant applied for a distillery license in 1840. With the sea and port of Garmouth nearby, the River Spey to the south and surrounded by Barley growing areas, all the basic ingredients for malt whiskey were in close proximity.
"" Glen Grant The Major's Reserve "" is the youngest and easiest to drink single malt in the Glen Grant range. It is a single malt scotch whiskey made with malt barley, spring water and selected yeast. This great whiskey is created through the processes of grinding, mashing, fermentation, double-pot distillation and aging in oak barrels.
Pleasant fruits and honey with notes of red apples rise into the nose. Notes of vanilla and apple appear on the tongue.
